The open-source AI interviewer

Roundvox runs your first-round interviews by voice and video, scores every answer against your rubric and leaves each decision to your team. Run it on your own server, under your own brand.

$ git clone https://github.com/isaee-xyz/roundvox.git && cd roundvox && ./scripts/install.sh

The repository opens soon. Ask for early access and we'll send it to you first.

Interview transcript: the AI interviewer and a candidate in a sales role-play
The AI assessment: overall score 78, recommendation Advance, and a score per competency with quoted evidence

Your brand, not ours

Your name, logo, colour and domain on every page and email. Name the interviewer and pick its voice.

People make the decision

The AI recommends; your team decides. Every score links to the moment in the recording that earned it.

Your server, your data

Recordings, transcripts and resumes stay in your storage and are deleted on your schedule.

Assessment

Every answer scored against your rubric

After each interview the AI listens to the recording and scores each competency you defined, with the quotes that justify it.

  • Weighted competencies, set per role and round
  • Evidence quotes that jump to the moment in the video
  • Summary, strengths and concerns in plain words

Candidates meet your company, not a vendor

Pick one colour and Roundvox builds an accessible palette from it. Careers pages, emails, the interview room and link previews all follow.

  • Custom domain with automatic HTTPS
  • Interviewer name, voice and language
  • Multi-company mode for agencies: one workspace per client

Human round

Book the next interview without the email ping-pong

Send shortlisted candidates a link. They pick a time when the whole panel is free, and the Google Meet, Teams or Zoom invite goes out by itself.

  • Free/busy from Google and Microsoft calendars
  • Working hours, buffers and minimum notice
  • Any other link or an office address works with no setup

Your server, about ten minutes

One script sets up the app, Postgres, storage, real-time audio and HTTPS with Docker. A first-run wizard does the rest in the browser.

  1. Run the installer

On any Linux server with Docker. It asks for your domain and generates every secret.

  2. Point DNS and email

One A record, or a wildcard for many companies. Any SMTP provider works; the docs cover SPF, DKIM and DMARC.

  3. Open the setup wizard

Name your company, pick a colour, add your Gemini key and run a practice interview on yourself.

FAQ

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Roundvox is open source under the AGPL-3.0. You pay only for your server and your Gemini usage. If you offer a modified version to others as a service, the licence asks you to share your changes.

Is there a hosted version?

No. Roundvox is self-hosted only. You can run it for one company or, in multi-company mode, for many clients from one install.

Which languages can it interview in?

English by default, with candidates free to mix in their own language. Each round can use another language Gemini Live speaks, such as Hindi.

Do candidates need to install anything?

No. They open a personal link in a browser on a laptop or phone, check camera and microphone, and talk. Dropped connections resume where they left off.

Does the AI make hiring decisions?

No. It recommends and shows its evidence; a person on your team records every decision. Candidates are always told they are speaking with an AI.
